On Saturday, the boys' varsity track team competed at the Branch County Invitational at Union City against Union City, Bronson, and Coldwater. Individual medals were awarded to the top 3 finishers in each event. Highlights of the day included but are not limited to: Ashtyn Morris 2nd place in both the shot put and discus events, with Caleb Kelley taking 3rd in discus. Clayton Benson took 3rd in high jump, and Corey Turner and Kaleb Handy took 2nd and 3rd in pole vault. Michael Daniels took 3rd place overall in the 100m dash. Clayton Benson also took 2nd in the 110m hurdles. The Orioles will be competing in their first conference meet at Homer this Wednesday against Homer and Bronson.

On a beautiful Tuesday evening, the boys' varsity track team competed at Olivet in a double-duel against the Olivet and Perry teams. Quincy was defeated by a large Olivet team, but came out on top over Perry. Some highlights of the evening: Ashtyn Morris once again swept the discus and shot put events, securing first place in both. Carter McClellan received 4th in discus and Caleb Kelley 4th in shot put. Ethan Hollister took first place in long jump with a huge PR and took 4th in the 100m dash. The high jump and pole vault events were swept by Quincy boys as well, with Clayton Benson and Rhett Reif taking 1st and 2nd place in high jump, and Corey Turner and Kaleb Handy taking 1st and 2nd place in the pole vault, with Corey's vault being a PR. Rhett Reif took 4th in the 200m dash and 2nd in the 400m dash. Kaleb Handy took 3rd in the 110m high hurdles. Quincy's 4x100m relay took 2nd with the team of Bryce Bellamy, Corey Turner, Michael Daniels, and Ethan Hollister and took 2nd in the 4x200m relay with the team of Micah Groves, Cameron Barry, Michael Daniels, and Ethan Hollister. Finally, Davin George came through in the 2-mile run with a 3rd place finish. The boys will compete again this Saturday at the Area's Best meet at Union City.

On Saturday, the boys' varsity track team competed at the Grass Lake Warrior Invitational and walked away with an overall 2nd place finish out of 12 teams. The Orioles came to compete, with outstanding performances including but not limited to: Ashtyn Morris first place in both the shot put and discus, Caleb Kelley 3rd in discus, Ethan Hollister first place in the long jump and 3rd place in the 100m dash, Kaleb Handy and Corey Turner with a first place tie in pole vault, and 2nd place in the 4x400m relay with the team of Bryce Bellamy, Bryton Beckwith, Rhett Reif, and Clayton Benson. It is looking like a promising season. The boys' next meet will be at Olivet on Tuesday.
