Quincy Girls Win, Boys drop heartbreaker to East Jackson Bowling

Quincy girls take down East Jackson 19-11.

 

Quincy Varsity Bowling saw action on Thursday night taking on East Jackson at Jax 60 lanes. Quincy came out strong taking baker 1 but fell short in baker 2 taking 4 points in to single play.

 

Starting off for the Orioles was Freshman Natalee Craig seeing action for the first time this season. Natalee would take both points in singles shooting a 130 and 106. Senior Daylin Fuller threw well with a 187 and 191 but failed to score against anchor Sam Dwight who shot a 397 2 game series. Alyssa Milliman would capture both of her points with 126 and 112 games, and Madison Wineland would also capture a point with scores of 112 and 133. Peran Reif help the Oriole capture overall totals with 149 and 127 games. Quincy went on to shoot 1373 over E.J. 1297.

 

Quincy boys drop a close match vs. East Jackson.

 

Quincy came out strong, looking like Orioles of seasons past, shooting a 196 baker taking game 1. East Jackson bounced back taking baker 2 by 11 155-144 while Quincy held on for overall totals taking 6 points in to singles. The boys continued to knock em' down with Cody Neusbaum scoring with a 140, Tyler Short with a 202, and Caden Moore with a 204. Brandy Neely chipped in 182 and Brodie Mainstone a 156. Quincy went on to capture game 1 totals 884-868. East Jackson's Mathew Harmon's hot hand was too much for the Orioles in game 2 as he went on to shoot a 232 games while Quincy's only point in game 2 came via Brodie Mainstone shooting a 159. East Jackson went on to take game 2 963-850 and overall total 1831-1734. East Jackson went on to win 16-14.
