Girls lose first match, JV and Varsity boys struggle

Quincy Varsity Girls bowling started their season finally Friday vs a tough Grass Lake team. The lady Os were led by Carlie McKinley who shot a 267 series and Alyssa Milliman who dropped a 260 series while securing Quincy's only point in game 2 of singles. Peran Reif returned to action for Quincy after a year off from bowling and captured her first point of the season in game 1 of singles. Quincy bounced back from a slow start in Baker action taking overall in Baker 2. Grass Lake won the match 24-6.

In boys action it was all Grass Lake taking both Baker games and overall totals with a 336-280 securing all 10 points. The pins continued to fall for the GL boys as they went on to take 7 of 10 in singles and 2 points for overall score. Scoring for Quincy was Brandt Neely with a 220 in game one, finishing the night with a 391 series. Also scoring for the Orioles was Caden Moore in game 2 with a 213 game (383 series) and Brodie Mainstone shooting a 203 (375 series). Cody Neusbaum (162) Tyler Short (160) and Dylan Bean (114) chipped in to keep overall pins close throughout the night. Grass Lake would pull away for the win 27-3.

Quincy JV boys saw action for the first time going against the JV Grass Lake boys. After dropping game 1 the Orioles bounced back to take Baker 2 and overall leading the GL boys heading to singles action. Max Stetler dropped 151 for his first point of the season while Cameron Barry scored for the Os in game 2 with a 146. Draven Baker faced a tough anchor while shooting a 300 series. Grass Lake went on to win 22-8.
