Quincy boys edge Jonesville by 1/2 a point!

It was a Big 8 showdown as Quincy took on Jonesville in bowling on Thursday afternoon.

Just 1 pin put Jonesville up early in Baker one as they took it 191-190. Only 8 pins kept Quincy from scoring in baker two. Jville would take all 10 baker points 382-391.

Singles action continued the close back and forth game. Dylan Bean would tie with Hunter Vincent with a 150 splitting the first singles point. Caden Moore had himself a game with a solid 211 and Brodie Mainstone scored with a 167. Despite shooting a 192 Brody Glei dropped his point in a hard faught anchor battle to Logan Teubert who shot a 199. In a night where every pin counted all 5 Orioles shot well and took overall points bringing the game closer 6.5-12.5.

Game two was more of the same as each player went shot for shot with his opponent. A strong finish found Brandt Neely's 214 scoring a point, Moore shot a 167 to score, and Brodie Mainstone knocked down 171 for the 3rd Oriole point. Quincy needed to capture overall pin count and battled back to do so. They won singles 1790-1702 and secured the 2 points to win the contest 15.5-14.5.

In girls action the Comets were too much for the lady O's as they dropped Baker two and overall pin count securing just 4 of the 10 points. Just 9 pins separated the overall count in bakers.

In singles action Quincys lone point came from Carlie McKinley shooting a 157 in game one. In game two Jenica Kaser would score with a 150 as would McKinley with a 148. Jonesville would shoot an impressive 1635 to best Quincys 1353. Jonesville would go on to win 23-7.
