Orioles Lose: 8 - 34
The Orioles trailed 0-6 at half, took an 8-6 lead  on the first drive of the 3rd quater, trailed 12-8 after three quarters before the Vikings rattled off 22 unanswered points in the 4th quarter to hand Quincy its second loss of the season and first in  the Big 8. The Orioles are now 1-1 in the conference and 1-2 overall. They travel to Springport next Friday.

Orioles Win: 18 - 12
The Orioles bring home the bell after a hard fought 18 -12 victory in Reading on Thursday night.  The Orioles outscored the Ranger's 12-6 in the first half with a TD pass from #7 Brennen Allman to #22 Ryan Kempter. In the second half both team added six points for a final score of 18-12. The Orioles final TD came on TD pass from Allman to # 42 Noah Pearson. The Orioles were led on offense with 227 passing yards on 15 of 20 passing and two TD's from Allman. Kempter caught 7 passes for 163 yards receiving and 1 TD as well as adding 59 yards on kick returns.  Defensively the Orioles had multile players with double digit tackles - #16 Grant Holroyd and #50 Ethan Pearson each had 11 tackles, # 78 Nash Fitton had 10 tackles, and #11 had 10 tackles. Kempter added his second fumble recovery of the season as well.  The Oriole are now 1 - 1 in the Big 8 Conference and 1 -1 overall on the season. They will host county rival Bronson this Friday 9/8/23 with a 7:30 kickoff time.    #riseandgrind

Orioles Lose: 26 - 54
Quincy got off to a great start leading 20-0 at halftime. With two TD's through the iar from Brennen Allman to Ryan Kempter and Joey Smith and the third TD coming a long 80 yard run from Noah Pearson. The Oriole defense kept the Aggies out of the end zone the entire first half with a huge stop on 4th down at hte 5 yard line.  The tide turned in the 3rd quarter with Sand Creek scoring 46 points and controlling the game on the ground and with heir defense. The Orioles lone second half score came on a another pass from Allman to Kempter.  Freshman Alex Dunn led the Orioles in receiving with 3 catches for 98 yards and Noah Pearson led hte rushing attack with 109 yards. Defensively the Orioles wre lead by Nash Fitton with eight tackles and Noah Pearson with six. The Orioles are 0-1 overall and 0-0 in the Big 8 Conference with a trip to league rival Reading set for next week.
