The Quincy Boys' Track team won a nail-biter Wednesday night in their dual meet on Jonesville's home turf. The Orioles came out strong with a PR and first place finish in pole vault by Caden Moore and a solid win in the 4x800 relay with the team of Nolan Nohr, Rhett Reif, Jacob Reif, and Erik Butchart. Erik Butchart went on to win the mile and Jacob Reif helped the team stay competitive with Jonesville by wining the 2-mile. Tae'Sean Bodley, Ethan Hollister, Gabe Watson, and Axel Beltran won a close 4x100 relay race and Noah Pearson, Ben Schreur, Landen Kelley, and Axel Beltran took first in the 4x200 relay as well. It all came down to the mile relay race, where Wyatt Towers, Noah Pearson, and Landen Kelley stayed neck-and-neck with Jonesville's team. Erik Butchart received the baton at a slight deficit, but made up the distance and more, passing Jonesville in the last 20 meters of the race to win the meet. Both the boys' and girls' teams will be competing in the Constantine Invitational this Friday.
