The Quincy JV Orioles have reeled off 5 straight wins after sweeping a double header from Hanover-Horton Friday night.
Game 1 saw the Orioles put up 20 runs in the 20 to 6 victory. Christian Craven took to the mound for the Orioles going 5 innings only surrendering 1 hit, 0 earned runs and fanning 5 Comet hitters. Drew Carlisle finished the game on the mound pitching the last inning allowing 1 hit, 0 earned runs and striking out 2. Zac Rubley and Ethan Drumm stayed hot at the plate for the Orioles both collecting 2 hits on the night. Craven, Cobee Stevens, Elijah Case and Caleb Wendorf all had hits for the Orioles.
Game 2 the Orioles hung on to win the game by a 9 to 8 margin. Stevens picked up the win on the mound going 3 innings allowing 5 hits, 4 earned runs and fanning 3. Landon Bearden pitched the last inning and allowed 2 hits and struck out one Comet batter. The Orioles put 10 hits on the board led by Case, Rubley and Craven with 2 hits a piece.
