Nothing came easy for Quincy Junior Varsity Orioles on Thursday, as they dropped both games of a double header to Grass Lake Junior Varsity Warriors. 

In game one Quincy lost the lead late in a 10-3 defeat to Grass Lake. 

Jimmy Maynard was on the mound for Quincy. The righty surrendered three runs on two hits over three innings, striking out one.  Alex Barry threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Barry, Elijah Case, and Maynard all had one hit to lead the Orioles offense. Maynard led the way with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with five stolen bases.

Quincy dropped game two 9 to 3. 

The Orioles opened up scoring in the first inning, when Skyler Foley singled on a 1-1 count, scoring three runs.

Mason Graves started the game on the mound for the Orioles. The pitcher went three innings, allowing only three hits and striking out four.

Barry, Foley, and Maynard each managed one hit to lead Quincy.
