Orioles win a pair of Big 8 Games at Bronson. 

The Orioles moved their Big 8 record to 9-3 and 16-5 overall with a pair of wins at Bronson winning game one 9-1 and game two 11-4 

In game one the Orioles recorded just 6 hits but took advantage of 14 Viking free passes and rode the arm of ace Brady Mescher who allowed just 4 hits and struck out 10 to record his 6 win of the yr. Ryan Kempter threw a scoreless 7 inning with 2 strike outs. Mescher provided a big 2 run double in the 1st inning to get the Orioles out front 4-0. Riley Miner had 2 hits, 2 walks and scored 3 runs from his lead off spot. Hunter Timervia, had 1 hit and an RBi while walking twice. Grant Holroyd had a hit and 2 RBIs while again being a force behind the plate. Mickey Connin added a 2 run double for the victorious Orioles 

In game two. Kempter returned the mound in the 3 rd inning and held the Vikings  at bay for 4 innings to record the win. The Sophomore “lefty” gave up just 3 hits and struck out 5. He also had 2 hits to lead the offense and 1 RBI and scored 3 runs. Holroyd added 2 hits and 2 RBIs as his bat is heating up. Tinervia again was hot at the plate with a hit and 2 RBIs. Mescher and Miner score a total of 5 runs between them.  Connin had another RBI double. Perhaps the biggest hit was Sophomore Jimmy Maynard’s 2 run 2strike 2 out single which helped break open a tight game. 

The Orioles take a couple of days off before traveling the Clinton on Saturday to face the Wolves who are currently ranked 3rd in Division 3
