Quincy Baseball snares Comeback win over Jackson High in 8 innings. 

The Orioles found themselves behind 3-0 with 2 out in the 7th inning when Riley Miner walked, Hunter Tinervia singled, Brady Mescher singled scoring Miner.  Mescher went to 2nd on the throw setting the stage for Karsen Maurer. The senior delivered a 2 run hit to tie to score at 3.

  Jackson High stranded the winning run at 3rd in the bottom of the 7th moving the game to extra innings.  

In the 8th Ryan Kempter sacrificed Grant Holroyd to 3rd base. With the infield drawn in Pitcher Dreden Feltner delivered a single to score Holroyd and give the Orioles a 4-3 lead. 

In the bottom of the 8th the Vikings worked a guy to 3rd when the Orioles with a drawn in infield Mescher threw out the Viking runner at home and Oriole catcher Holroyd picked the runner off going to 2nd.  Feltner recorded the final out by strike out and the Orioles celebrated the comeback win. 

Feltner picked up the win from the mound as he threw 3 innings with 5 strikeouts  in relief of Mescher and Mason Snyder.  

Maurer had the big hit while Mescher and Tinervia added 2 hits each. Miner and Brennen Allman also had hits. 

The Orioles hopped on the bus and traveled the Jackson Lumen Christi to compete against the Titans in round two of the Glick Invite.  After a 2 1/2 weather delay the game was cancelled. 

The Orioles finish the week with 3 wins and travel to Jonesville on Tuesday for a key Big 8 conference battle with the Comets.
