Senior Kyler Economou said " Coach give the ball I'm going all 7 innings." And as a man of his word he did just that throwing an 82 pitch complete game in leading the Orioles to a thrilling 5-3 non conference win against visiting Constantine. Economou gave up just 4 hits and struck out 3. With the tying run at the plate Economou turned and threw to 2nd baseman Kyler Maurer to pick off the Falcon runner for the final out.
Cody Nuesbaum, Kyle Rodesiler, Karsen Maurer, and Riley Miner each had 2 hits to keep the Orioles moving on the base paths and Kyler Maurer delivered a clutch 2 out 2 run single in the 5th inning.
with the win the Orioles stand 13-14 on this season heading into the state tournament portion of their schedule where they will begin play against Hanover Horton.
