Karsen Maurer blasted a 3 run home run with 2 outs in the 3rd inning to break a scoreless tie with host Mendon and the Orioles went on to win the non league game 10-2.
Six Orioles pitchers, limited by pitch count rules, threw the 7 inning game and held the Hornets to 6 hits while striking out 9. Bradley Harper would be credited with the pitching victory. He was helped by Kyler Economou, Karsen and Kyler Maurer, Lane Pearson and Brady Mescher.
The Orioles offense was led by Maurer’s big hit, Mescher and Economou added 2b’s
Blake Burkhart had 2 singles, and Harper and KylerMaurer had 2 rbi for the Orioles who swiped 8 bases going over 100 stolen bases on the season.
At 9-11 for the season the O’s return to league play on Tuesday hosting Jonesville.
