Orioles defensive woes costly in DH loss against Big 8 league leader Homer. The Orioles let a competitive game against Homer get away from them in the 5th inning by committing 5 errors over the last 3 innings to fall 13-3 in game 1 of the DH. The Orioles fell behind 6-0 in the second game but the Orioles responded with a 3 run 4th inning to narrow the game to 6-3. Again the Orioles coughed up a big inning by committing 4 errors in Homer's 4 inning to push Homers lead to 12-3 heading into the 5th inning. Both teams scored in the 5th and Homer went onto 14-4 win. The Orioles had a very difficult day in the field committing 16 miscues in the double header.
