The Quincy Orioles 8th Grade Basketball team  returned to action on Monday night at Bronson.  The Orioles came away with a convincing road win defeating the Vikings 60 -29.  The O’s followed the game plan of attacking the basket  and getting back in transition to defend. The stat of the night was 16 assists on offense as the Orioles passed the ball well and found the open man at the basket. The Orioles also recorded 12 steals. 

 Noah Kelley had a Noah Kelley type performance as he  scored 23 points and hauled down 13 rebounds for the double double.  His biggest contribution was his leadership.  

Tristian Brewer helped get the Orioles off to a “ fast “ scoring 6 1st quarter points while grabbing 5 rebounds. Grant Longarder, (8 pts), Joe Gray ( 7 points including a three pointer and all around solid play) and Bryson Estlow ( 6 points while defending the Vikings leading scorer ) added to the Orioles effort. In all 9 players scored. Benny Travelbee hit a 3 pointer, Jaylin Jones,  Daniel Burritt, and Caden Norris added scores and Sammy Burns defended and rebounded well. 

The Orioles (7-2) continue their busy week with game action on Wednesday on the road at Union City.
