Orioles rally but fall short in road loss at  Springport. 

The 8th grade boys basketball team traveled to Springport on Monday night to take on the Spartans. The Orioles slow start on both offense and defense proved costly as the Orioles found themselves down nine points at half time.  The two teams traded baskets in the 3rd quarter and the Orioles closed the gap to four points with just under a minute to go in the game The Orioles had a couple of chances to get within a basket but did not convert.  Noah Kelley led the Orioles with 15 points- 11 in the second half. Joe Gray played a steady game at point guard with 7 points including a late 3 point basket and added 3 steals  and 4 assists. Grant Longardner had 2 baskets and 4 steals.  Bryson Estlow, Ben Travelbee and Caden Norris also scored for the Orioles.  The Orioles now stand 2-1 on the season and finally can settle in and practice before facing Bronson next Monday.  The 8th grade Oriole “B” team will take on Comstock this coming Thursday night at Comstock.
