Late Free throws help Quincy Hold off Bronson in 8th grade Boys Basketball.
Christian Craven and Noah Rufenacht both made a pair of free throws late in the 4th quarter to help the Orioles hold of Bronson at Bronson 38-34. Rufenacht’s free throws came after a hustle steal of the ball off a rebound with just 4 seconds to go and sealed the deal for the Orioles. The Orioles struggled at times with the Bronson defense and the Vikings closed the gap to2 points with under 30 seconds to play before Rufenanct’s heroics.
Christian Craven led the Orioles with a gutty 14 point performance. Alex Dunn played monster defense and scored 12 points. Rufenanct finished with 4 points, Carsen Haylett had 3 points, Andrew Dunn scored 2 points and Garrett Haylett and Colbee Stevens added key free throws in the Orioles win.
The Orioles open the week with a win and move its record to 5-2. They will play again on Wednesday at Union City
