The 8th grade girl's basketball team beat Reading 31-12 in their season opener. . Kendly Musielewicz scored 20 points with 9 of the points coming from the 3 point range. She added 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal. Miley Poindexter had 9 points, an impressive 9 steals, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds. Kora Timmons added 2 points, a steal, and a rebound. Ashlynn Fickle led the team in rebounds with 6 followed by Addison Hasten with 4 rebounds and a steal. Kenzi Maynard had 5 steals, a rebound and an assist. Jocelyn Hartman and Isabelle Marske added to the solid defensive effort helping to keep Reading to 12 points for the night.
