The Quincy varsity boys' basketball team made the short trip to Big Eight rival, Reading. Quincy used a 21-14 second half scoring advantage to pull away with the victory, after being knotted up at 22-22 at halftime. The Orioles played strong team defense throughout the game to keep the Rangers in check. Quincy forced Reading into numerous turnovers, limiting the number of shots that they took in the contest. Quincy had a balanced scoring attack to put up enough points to earn the win.
