The Quincy Boys' basketball team played Springport at home tonight, winning 39-34. The Orioles edged the Spartans, 7-6 in the first quarter. Quincy controlled the second quarter, outscoring Springport 13-5 to take a 20-11 halftime lead. Springport came out of halftime looking to establish themselves, winning the quarter 10-6, bringing the score to 26-21 Quincy, heading to the fourth quarter. Quincy and Springport tied 13-13 in a furious fourth quarter. The Spartans got as close as one point in the fourth, but the Orioles were able to hold off Springport, with a 6-6 performance at the free throw line.

The Orioles are now 4-12 overall and 2-9 in the Big Eight. Quincy faces Bronson at home on Tuesday for Senior Night.
