Quincy's 8th grade football team squared off with Big Eight rival, Reading, beating the Rangers by a score of 36-0. It was a complete effort by the entire squad, as all members of the team contributed to the victory and received quality reps. Noah Kelley led the charge, scoring four touchdowns on the night, two of which he showed great balance by "tight-roping" down the sideline and somehow staying inbounds. Another nice run by Kelley was a nifty cutback, resulting in about a 50-yard score. Grant Longardner scampered into the end zone on a shifty run of about 45-yards. Longardner and Kelley both scored two-point conversions, while Bryson Estlow had a conversion catch from Joe Gray. Gray completed several nice passes, including some nice catch and runs from Caden Norris.
Defensively, Kelley, Norris, Tristin Brewer, Tayte Waddell, Estlow, Gray, Longardner, and Avery Crandall had standout performances. Joe Gray had an interception.
