Quincy Middle School “ Black “ team traveled to Centreville to take on the Bull Dogs in a toe to toe, battle of inches game which the Gull Dogs won 22-12

The Orioles led 12-0 at half time as Carson Craven hauled in a12 yard TD pass from JJ Wright and lineman Lewis Norton intercepted a pass and ran 75 yards for a score. The Oriole defense held the Bull Dogs in check during the 1st half with 2 4th down stops.  

The Bull Dogs scored to open the 2nd half to close to 12-8.  The Orioles stalled on offense and the Bull Dogs scored again to take a 16-12 lead with just under 2 minutes to play.  The Orioles took the kick off and marched 50 yards to the Bull Dog 20 yard line with big pass plays from Wright to Craven and Seth VanStelle.  Inside 1 minute to go the Bull Dogs picked off an Oriole pass and return it 90 yards for a late score. 

The Orioles played hard and gave themselves a chance at the end to win but just came up short. Wright completed 5 passes 4 of them to Craven. Norton and Caleb Ruddock came up with Oriole interceptions and Tate Waddell added 5 tackles to lead the Orioles defense.
