The 8th grade football team traveled to county rival, Bronson, coming away with a 34-26 triumph. The Orioles swooped into the end zone first, on a long kickoff return by Noah Kelley, spearheaded by stellar blocking by the kick return unit. Quincy recovered a kickoff, taking the ball back, and scoring again on a QB wedge by Joe Gray, leading 12-0. The rest of the half was mostly all Quincy, minus a couple of long passes and catches by Bronson, bringing the score to 34-14 Quincy at halftime. 

The Orioles continued to move the ball in the second half, but came up short several times on 4th down plays, limiting the team to no points in the second half. Bronson struck with a couple more big pass plays, making it an interesting game at the end.

Quincy was led by Noah Kelley running the ball for a ton of yards, including three rushing touchdowns , a 2-point conversion, and the kickoff return. Joe Gray had his best game of the year leading the team as the signal caller. Gray had one rushing touchdown, a 2-point conversion pass, multiple passing completions, and two huge interceptions that helped hold off Bronson. 

The Orioles are 2-1 on the season and are back in action next week at Union City on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.
