After 2 weeks of playing a combined 7th/8th schedule, the 7th grade Orioles returned to action earning a hard fought 20-12 win at Jonesville. The O's raced out to a 14-0 lead thanks to 2 TD's from Noah Kelly who scored both offensive and defensive touchdowns. His offensive TD was a 40 yard run where he broke several tackles. On defense after Joe Gray caused a Comet fumble Kelley scooped and scored from 45 yards. Jonesville rallied to 14-12 then early in the 4th quarter Kelley got loose again on a 4th down play and scored from 9 yards out to give the Orioles a 20 -12 lead. The Orioles then took over on defense and recorded two key stops to secure the win. Gray was again steady force at QB. The "lefty"connected on 2 passes to Grant Longardner, one for a 2point conversion score and one a 50 yard strike. Daniel Burritt and Avery Crandell played well on both sides of the ball for the victorious Orioles.
