JONESVILLE HIGH SCHOOL: 8
The Quincy Middle School football team faced the Jonesville Comets at home, defeating them 20-8. The Orioles had a balanced rushing attack, led by great blocking by our linemen. Quincy took a 12-8 lead into the 4th quarter, then put the game away with a "textbook" drive in the T-offense, keeping the ball out of Jonesville's hands, then punching it into the end zone.
Wesley Wasikowski led the team with two rushing touchdowns, Clayton Benson had a TD, and Andrew Dunn scored on a 2-point conversion on a pass from Christian Craven.
Defensively, the Orioles were stout throughout the game, holding the Comets in check.
Quincy travels to Grass Lake next Wednesday to take on the Warriors at 5:30 p.m.
