Quincy Baseball tops Mendon 9-4 in District Tune Up. 

The Quincy Orioles plated 2 runs an the 1st inning and added 4 more in the 2 inning to take a early lead and hold off the Mendon Hornets 9-4 on Tuesday at Oriole Park for their 15th win of the year. 

Senior Karsen Maurer led the way for the Orioles in making his last home game a memorable one. The steady righty pitched 6.1 innings and recorded a career high 10 strike outs on his way to his 4th victory on the mound this season. At the plate he continued his stellar season with the bat  with 3 more hits and an RBI.  

The Orioles also got 3 hits from Jr. lead off hitter Riley Miner and triples from both Jrs. Hunter Tinervia and Brady Mescher. Fr. Brennen Allman slugged 2 hits including a 2b and Jr. Ryder Schmactenberger added a single. 

The Orioles will play a single game on Wednesday against Branch County foe Coldwater. Game time 5:00 pm at Pat Lowe Field in Coldwater.
