Quincy girls take the W, boys fall short vs. Grass Lake

Both the boys and girls varsity bowling teams traveled to Suburban Lanes in Jackson on Wednesday to face off against Grass Lake.

The Quincy girls would capture the win early in singles action after taking both baker games and overall pin count. Scoring for the Orioles in game one of singles were Jenica Kaser (114) Carlie McKinley (121) Torrance Swift (154) and Allison Short with a career high 207. Daylin Fuller chipped in 167 but came up just short to Grass Lakes anchor Taylor Mosher who shot a 173. With Quincy up 18 - 1 after the first singles Quincy saw action from the remaining bowlers, Maddison Wineland who captured a point for the Lady O's and Alyssa Milliman. Quincy went on to win the contest 22-8.

The Varsity Boys battled in the first baker taking it down to the final shot and securing a 1 point win over the Grass Lake boys 159-158. In baker two, a few tough splits decided the fate of the boys as Grass Lake shot well winning 202-183 over the Orioles. Still very much in it the Quincy boys would continue to battle but the pins kept falling for Grass Lake as they captured 4 points in game one of singles and in game two. Scoring for the Orioles was Captian Dylan Bean with a 182 in game one. Brandt Neely shot a 177 in game two for the lone Oriole point there. Brodie Mainstone had a good night rolling a 200 and 190 as did Brody Glei hitting a 213 and 171. Grass Lake went on to win 24-6.
