Quincy CC ran at Regionals at Ella Sharp Park in Jackson. The Girls' finished 11th and the Boys' finished 8th. We had one girl and one boy qualify to run at the State Finals at MIS next weekend: Avery Rufenacht finished 7th and Rhett Reif finished 6th. Avery took off more than 50 second off her time running a new PR of 20:55 and Rhett took off 30 second of his best time running a new PR of 16:39.0. Rhett's time of 16:39 made him the fastest freshmen in Quincy's history and put him on the 5th spot on th Ten Fastest Boys 5K Times in Quincy's history. We had two other boys run new PR's: Jacob Reif and Caden Moore. As a team, both teams ran well today but just not great. You have to run great at Regionals if you want a chance to move on.
