Quincy Cross Country Continues Strong Season at Otsego Invitational

Quincy Cross Country competed at the 25th Annual Bulldog Invitational at Otsego on Saturday, October 3, with the boys finishing fifth and the girls placing sixth. The Quincy boys scored 137 points to finish fifth in the Division 3-4 varsity field. Hunter Walker led the Orioles with a standout sixth-place finish in 16:37.6, breaking into the 16-minute range and moving into fifth place on Quincy’s all-time list of fastest 5K runners. Carter Feltner followed with an 18th-place finish in 17:47.5, while Nathan Dunn placed 36th in 18:19.6 and Coy Wood finished 43rd in 18:42.3. Five Quincy boys recorded new personal records at the meet, with Walker, Wood, Nolan King, Eli Morris and Jack Miller all posting PRs. The Orioles also had several season-best performances. The Quincy girls finished sixth with 133 points. Kendyl Musielewicz led the Orioles with a ninth-place finish in 21:04.5, followed by Lauren Tappenden in 16th at 21:46.1 and Bailey Porter in 22nd at 22:28.8. Four Quincy girls recorded new personal records, including Tappenden, Lily Neubecker, Claire Carpenter and Amberlyn Small. The Orioles also had several season-best times throughout the race. They will continue with Big 8 conference season at Bronson Tuesday followed by the Hudson Invite on Saturday!
