The Quincy Orioles put together another explosive offensive performance on Homecoming night, but Sacred Heart Academy of Mount Pleasant held off a late Quincy push to earn a 43-36 victory. The Orioles moved the football effectively throughout the night, particularly through the air, with quarterback Joe Gray and wide receiver Noah Rufenacht each setting new Quincy single-game school records. Gray completed 24 of 34 passes for 378 yards and four touchdowns, establishing a new school record for passing yards in a game. Rufenacht was on the receiving end of all four touchdown passes, finishing with 10 receptions for 230 yards and four touchdowns to set a new Quincy record for receiving yards in a single game. JJ Wright also had a strong night through the air, recording 10 catches for 108 yards, while Jax Sergent added two receptions for 30 yards and Kale Dirschell had two catches for 10 yards. On the ground, Noah Kelley continued to provide production with 19 carries for 109 yards and a touchdown. Kelley also converted three two-point attempts as the Orioles worked to keep pace with the Sacred Heart offense. Sacred Heart found success running between the tackles throughout the game, creating challenges for the Quincy defense. Xander Wood led the Orioles with 22 total tackles, including eight solo stops, while Tayte Waddell recorded 16 tackles, four of them solo. Wright added 10 tackles to go along with his offensive production, and Carson Haylett recorded an interception. Quincy continued to battle throughout the second half, but Sacred Heart was able to hold on following a Rufenacht touchdown from Gray and an onside recovery from Quincy and secure the 43-36 victory. Despite the result, the Orioles' offensive performance produced two more additions to the Quincy record book, with Gray setting the single-game passing yardage record and Rufenacht establishing the single-game receiving yardage record
