Quincy Cross Country Boys Win Big 8 Jamboree, Girls Finish Second

Quincy Cross Country continued its strong start to the Big 8 Conference jamboree schedule Tuesday at Springport, with the boys claiming first place and the girls finishing second. The Quincy boys won the team competition with 65 points, finishing ahead of Concord (82) and Bronson (94). Hunter Walker led the Orioles with a second-place finish in 17:25.0, followed by Carter Feltner in fifth at 18:16.4. Nathan Dunn placed 15th in 19:48.6, while Coy Wood finished 18th in 20:08.1 and Nolan King was 25th in 20:43.1. Eli Morris finished 30th in 21:19.2, followed by Jack Miller in 46th at 23:30.1, Michael Payne in 47th at 24:17.0 and Eddie Miller in 53rd at 26:11.5. On the girls’ side, Quincy finished second with 57 points, behind Concord (29) and ahead of Bronson (59). Kendyl Musielewicz paced the Orioles with a fifth-place finish in 22:14.8, while Bailey Porter followed in sixth at 22:16.6. Lauren Tappenden placed 11th in 23:26.6. Clare Robertson finished 24th in 26:14.7, followed by Cali Richards in 31st at 28:22.7 and Lily Neubecker in 32nd at 28:47.5. The second of four Big 8 Conference jamborees provided another strong team showing for Quincy as the Orioles continue through the 2026 season. The Quincy boys team leads the Big 8 standings while the girls team is currently in second place. They next will head to Otsego for the Bulldog Invite on Saturday.
