The QMS Football Orioles remained perfect on the young season Wednesday night, earning a 28-6 victory over the visiting Homer Trojans. Talon Thomas led the Orioles offensively with three touchdowns and a two-point conversion. Brenden Preston added a touchdown, while Kye Dirschell hauled in a two-point conversion pass. The Orioles were physical and fast defensively, limiting a talented Homer offense throughout the game. Logan George, Noah Drumm and Brody Murphy led the effort up front, consistently applying pressure and disrupting the Trojans' offensive attack. Dirschell and Drake Sills played well against the outside run, while the Orioles' linebackers and defensive backs turned in a steady performance. QMS also played well in the kicking game. Thomas, Dirschell and Ben Richards consistently helped the Orioles win the field-position battle with their legs. Jefferson Wright, a two-way starter, was a standout on both sides of the ball. Wright provided several long runs on offense while also leading the defensive effort from his linebacker position. With the win, the Orioles improve to 2-0 on the season. QMS returns to action next Wednesday when it travels to Parma Western.
