Quincy Cross Country opened the Big 8 Conference jamboree schedule Tuesday at Union City, with the Orioles earning a first-place finish on the boys’ side and a second-place finish in the girls’ race. Both teams placed three runners in the top 10. The boys were led by Hunter Walker, who finished second in 17:18.8, followed by Carter Feltner in sixth at 18:02.1 and Nathan Dunn in 10th at 18:49.8. Coy Wood finished 20th in 20:01.2, followed by Nolan King in 26th at 20:30.9 with a new personal record. Eli Morris placed 29th in 20:56.2 with a new PR, while Eddie Miller finished 40th in 21:43.2, Jack Miller was 43rd in 22:02.2 with a new PR, and Michael Payne placed 45th in 22:15.8. On the girls’ side, Kendyl Musielewicz led Quincy with a sixth-place finish in 21:59.9. Bailey Porter placed eighth in 22:29.4 with a new personal record, while Lauren Tappenden was ninth in 22:30.6 with a new PR. Victoria Francis finished 30th in 26:06.3 with a new personal record, followed by Cali Richards in 34th at 27:49.8 and Lily Neubecker in 35th at 28:15.0. The first Big 8 jamboree provided another strong showing for both Quincy teams as the Orioles continue through the 2026 cross country season. They next will compete in the Pittsford Invitational on Saturday.
