The Quincy Orioles battled Bronson from start to finish Monday night, falling to the Vikings 7-5 in a game that saw Quincy mount a late comeback attempt after trailing by four goals in the second half. The two teams battled throughout the opening half, with Bronson taking a 4-3 lead into halftime after scoring with just five seconds remaining before the break. Bronson added to its advantage early in the second half, scoring to make it 5-3 before adding another goal to extend the lead to 6-3. A free kick later made it 7-3, putting the Orioles in a difficult position with time running down. Quincy responded with a strong late push. Anderson Suever scored twice within a matter of minutes, cutting the deficit to 7-5 and giving the Orioles an opportunity to make things interesting in the closing minutes. Quincy continued to battle, but Bronson was able to hold on for the victory. Carl Dessir and Suever each finished with two goals, while Max Woodward added one. Bentley Swift recorded an assist. Quincy split time in goal, with Dane Johnson making six saves and Blaik Pierce adding two saves. The Orioles continue to compete and build throughout the season, with Quincy traveling to Onsted Thursday for its next matchup.
