Quincy Cross Country continued its strong start to the season Wednesday at the JPEC Invitational, with both the boys’ and girls’ teams earning second-place finishes and bringing home runner-up trophies. The boys placed six runners in the top 25, led by Hunter Walker, who finished fourth. Carter Feltner placed ninth, followed by Nathan Dunn in 12th and Coy Wood in 17th. Nolan King recorded a new personal record while finishing 20th, and Isaac Lee rounded out the Orioles' top six in 25th. Quincy also received strong efforts from Eli Morris in 27th, Jack Miller in 31st with a new personal record, Michael Payne in 33rd and Caleb Lee in 42nd, who also recorded a new personal best. The girls' team was led by Kendyl Musielewicz, who earned a third-place finish. Bailey Porter followed in 10th, while Lauren Tappenden placed 13th and recorded a new personal record. Peyton Proctor finished 24th to round out Quincy's medalists. Victoria Francis continued the team's strong showing with a new personal record while finishing 26th, and Cali Richards placed 28th. Both Quincy teams return home with second-place trophies as the Orioles continue through the 2026 cross country season. They next head to Union City for a big 8 jamboree on Tuesday.
