Quincy Falls to Concord in Four Sets

Quincy Volleyball battled Concord in a competitive conference matchup Wednesday night, with the Orioles falling in four sets, 11-25, 25-10, 19-25, 19-25. Concord came out strong in the opening set, taking an early lead and eventually securing a 25-11 victory. Quincy responded in the second set, building an early advantage and holding off a Concord push to even the match with a 25-10 win. The third and fourth sets were closely contested, with the teams trading runs and battling through several back-and-forth stretches. Concord was ultimately able to gain control late in both sets, earning 25-19 victories to take the match. Ashlyn Fickle led Quincy with 10 kills, followed by Kora Timmons with eight and Laura Bostic with five. Alexis Reif recorded 17 assists, while Fickle added eight assists. Defensively, JC Quimby led the Orioles with 17 digs, followed by Bostic with 16 and Reif with 12. Kenzi Maynard and Reif each recorded three aces. The loss moves Quincy to 5-4-1 overall and 0-1 in conference play. The Orioles will look to bounce back in their next matchup.
