The Quincy boys soccer team played to a 1-1 draw against Manchester on Friday night in a road matchup that included a 30-minute weather delay. The teams played to a scoreless first half before Manchester broke through approximately four and a half minutes into the second half to take a 1-0 lead. Play was then delayed by lightning for approximately 30 minutes. Following the delay, the Orioles continued to pressure the Manchester defense and eventually found the equalizer. Senior Carl Dessir scored Quincy's goal off an assist from Anderson Suever, tying the match at 1-1. Neither team was able to find a second goal before the final whistle. Senior goalkeeper Dane Johnson recorded seven saves for the Orioles. Quincy finished the night with one goal on three shots and one shot on goal. Manchester recorded one goal on one shot and seven shots on goal. The Orioles will return to action Monday at 6 p.m. when they travel to Comstock for a non conference matchup.
