The Quincy Boys Soccer team opened the 2026 season with the first of three road contest to start the year Wednesday evening against Will Carleton Academy, falling 5-0 in the season opener. Will Carleton Academy took a 2-0 lead during the first half before adding three goals after halftime. The Orioles continued to compete throughout the match and created several offensive opportunities, particularly during the closing stages of the game. Quincy finished the match with seven total shots and four shots on goal, while also earning five corner kicks. Anderson Suever, Bentley Swift, and Carl Desir each recorded a shot on goal for the Orioles. Defensively, Quincy continued to battle throughout the match as the Orioles worked through their first game together with a roster that features a mix of returning players and new faces. The season opener provided valuable experience for a Quincy team that returns a large group of seniors and varsity players from a year ago. The Orioles will look to build on the opening match as they continue to develop their chemistry and prepare for the remainder of the 2026 season. Quincy will return to action Friday as they head to Manchester for a 5:30 kick off.
