Quincy Orioles Cross Country 2026 Season Preview

Boys Cross Country The Quincy Boys Cross Country team returns a large portion of its roster from a year ago, with Chayse Jensen the lone graduate from last season's team. Senior Coy Wood and Juniors Carter Feltner and Hunter Walker bring lots of experience to the Orioles group. Walker was Quincy's top runner last season and qualified for the state meet, bringing valuable experience into the 2026 season. Senior Eddie Miller and Senior Isaac Lee also return, along with sophomores Nathan Dunn and Eli Morris. Senior Michael Payne returns to the team as well and will look to contribute throughout the season. The Orioles also welcome three new runners to the program: freshmen Nolan King and Jack Miller, along with sophomore Caleb Lee. The newcomers will have an opportunity to gain experience and contribute as the season progresses. Quincy enters the season with team goals of competing for a Big 8 Conference championship and finishing among the top three teams at the regional meet. With a large group of returning runners and several new additions, the Orioles will look to continue developing throughout the season. Girls Cross Country The Quincy Girls Cross Country team returns most of its roster from a year ago, with Elizabeth Craig the lone graduate from last season's team. Senior Kendyl Musielewicz leads a group of returning runners that also includes seniors Clare Robertson and Peyton Proctor, along with junior Cali Richard. The returning runners bring valuable experience to the team as Quincy begins the 2026 season. The Orioles also welcome four new runners to the program: sophomore Victoria Francis and freshmen Lily Neubecker, Bailey Porter, and Lauren Tappenden. The new runners will have opportunities to gain experience and contribute throughout the season. Quincy's girls team will look to build on its returning experience while continuing to develop its younger runners. The team enters the season with goals of competing for a Big 8 Conference championship and finishing among the top three teams at the regional meet. Both the boys and girls programs will look to maintain good health, continue developing throughout the season, and compete at their best as the 2026 cross country season progresses.
