Quincy High School Athletics is proud to announce the hiring of Bryce Williams as the next Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach. A graduate of Archbold High School in Ohio, Williams was a 1,000-point scorer and a member of the 2017 team that advanced to the OHSAA Basketball state semifinals. He continued his playing career at Trine University, where he competed under Coach Brooks Miller. During his collegiate career, Williams earned 2x All-MIAA honors and helped lead Trine to two conference championships in 2018 and 2021. Following his playing career, Williams transitioned into coaching, beginning at Archbold High School as a Varsity Assistant Coach during the 2022–23 season. Williams later joined Fremont’s boys basketball staff, serving as Head 8th Grade Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach, continuing to expand his experience working across multiple levels of a program. Throughout his coaching experience, Williams has a strong focus on player relationships, skill development, and building competitive team culture at multiple levels. New Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach Bryce Williams had this to say about joining Quincy: “It is an honor to be named the next Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Quincy High School. I’m excited for the opportunity to work with our student-athletes and become part of the Quincy community. The players, community, and staff will bring an excitement to basketball in Quincy. I cannot wait to be apart of this community and continue building something our school and community can be proud of.” Athletic Director Lucas Meyer had this to say about the hiring: “Bryce impressed us throughout the hiring process with his passion for basketball, energy, and vision for building our program the right way. He has been surrounded by winning basketball throughout his career and understands the importance of culture, accountability, and relationships. Most importantly, he is committed to providing a great experience for our student-athletes both on and off the court. We are excited to welcome Bryce to Quincy and look forward to the future of Quincy Basketball under his leadership.”
