Quincy High School

The MS Orioles Track and Field Team wrapped up their regular season meets on May 12 as they hosted their final invitational of the year. Competing schools included Bronson, Quincy, Concord, Reading, Homer, Springport, Union City, Stockbridge, and Maple Valley. Another chilly spring evening greeted athletes and fans, and the weather eventually turned rainy as the meet progressed. Despite the cold and wet conditions, competitors continued to battle through each event to close out the season with strong performances. The Quincy boys team earned a sixth-place finish overall, while the girls team secured fifth place on the night. Athletes from every school showcased determination and sportsmanship throughout the invitational, making for an exciting final meet of the season. Medals were awarded to the top three athletes in each individual event, along with the top three relay teams in each relay event. The home invitational served as a memorable ending to the season for the Orioles. And, as a newly added tradition, we closed the event with our second annual banana relay with a coach for a bit of fun to close out the invite. Qualifying athletes will compete on Monday for the MS Regionals Meet in Bangor. Field events start at 4:00, and running events at 5:00.
