Quincy High School

The Quincy High School Golf Team competed in a busy doubleheader Thursday, making up for an earlier rainout with two Big 8 Jamborees. The morning round took place at Turtle Creek GC (hosted by Union City) The Orioles continued their season-long trend of consistency, finishing 3rd with a team score of 174. Leading the way was Braylon Estlow, who earned tri-medalist honors with an impressive 38. Carson Craven followed with a 41 good for 5th place overall. Jax Sergent shot 47 which finished him in 12th place. Bo Tissue added a 48 (T-15th) While Codin Ayerdi and Daniel Burritt finished out the scoring for Quincy with a 53 and a 57 respectively. The Orioles then headed to Bella Vista Golf Course for their originally scheduled Big 8 Jamboree. Quincy broke out of its string of third-place finishes, placing 2nd with a 181, edging league leader Springport by four strokes. The Orioles placed five golfers under 50 in a strong team effort: Carson Craven led with a 43 (4th) Jax Sergent followed with a 44 (5th) Braylon Estlow shot 46 (T-7th) Bo Tissue carded a 48 (T-10th) Codin Ayerdi rounded out the sub-50 group with a 49 which placed top 15 on the day. Daniel Burritt continued to show improvement with a 57 (25th) Quincy now turns its attention to the US-12 Invite, hosted by Sturgis at Klingler Lake Country Club on Friday.
