Quincy Track Earns Strong Showing Against Union City

Quincy track and field delivered another strong performance in its meet against Union City, highlighted by multiple event wins and top finishes across both the boys and girls teams. Overall, the boys team won 110-26 while the girls were defeated by just one with a score of 69-68. Boys Highlights: Quincy was led by distance performances from Chayse Jensen, who won both the 800 meters (2:08.73) and 1600 meters (4:45.65). The Orioles also swept the top three spots in the 800 meters, with Carter Feltner finishing second and Isaac Lee taking third. On the track, Clayton Benson captured first place in the 200 meters (23.72), while Noah Rufenacht won the 400 meters (53.57). In the hurdles, Benson added another victory in the 110-meter hurdles (15.47). The field events were another strength for Quincy. Lincoln Sims won the shot put (44' 9"), while Isaiah Staggs took first in the discus (116' 5.5"). Rufenacht also had a big day in the jumps, winning both the high jump (6' 2") and long jump (18' 8.5"). Quincy’s relay teams continued to perform well, with first-place finishes in the 4x200, 4x400, and 4x800 relays. Girls Highlights: The Lady Orioles were led by strong performances across the board. Elizabeth Longardner claimed first place in both the 200 meters (28.92) and 400 meters (1:06.03), while Kendyl Musielewicz won the 800 meters (2:37.14). Brookelyn Parker had an outstanding meet, winning both the 100-meter hurdles (16.66) and 300-meter hurdles (49.05). In the distance events, Peyton Proctor placed third in the 3200 meters, while Clare Robertson added a top finish in the 800. In the field events, Addison Hasten led the way with first-place finishes in both the shot put (31' 11.5") and discus (103' 8"). Quincy also had a strong showing in the shot put with Makayla Metz finishing second and Mayson VanLue placing third. The relay teams added to the success, with Quincy earning first-place finishes in the 4x200 and 4x400 relays, while the 4x800 relay placed second. Quincy continues to show depth and strength across all events as the season progresses.
