Lady Orioles Dominate Maple Valley in Mercy-Rule Win

The Quincy Lady Orioles made a strong statement at home, rolling past Big 8 rival Maple Valley with a 9-0 halftime mercy-rule victory. Quincy controlled the match from the opening whistle, overwhelming Maple Valley on both ends of the field and outshooting them 16-2. Laura Bostic led the offensive explosion with an incredible five-goal performance (including her third goal of the night which broke the Quincy School record for career goals scored with 90) while adding an assist to cap off a dominant night. Kenzi Maynard followed with four goals of her own, helping power the Lady Orioles to the early finish. The playmaking was just as impressive, with Ciaira Paul, Olivia Davenport, and Claire Carpenter each contributing an assist as Quincy’s offense clicked at every level. Olivia Davenport and Brienna Brown held down in goal aiding in the shutout performance with the help of the Quincy defensive front. With the win, the Lady Orioles improve to 5-3 overall and remain a top the Big 8 conference remaining perfect at 4-0. Quincy will look to keep the momentum going Monday as they hit the road to take on Stockbridge.
