Quincy track and field turned in an impressive performance Wednesday night at Springport, competing against Concord and the host Spartans. The Quincy boys dominated the meet, earning team wins over both opponents with scores of 107–30 over Springport and 86–50 over Concord. The girls team split on the night, defeating Springport 96–29 while falling to Concord 72–58. Boys Highlights: Quincy was led by multiple first-place finishes across the meet. Chayse Jensen claimed victories in both the 800 meters (2:07.8) and 1600 meters (4:49.12), leading a strong distance group. In the field events, Isaiah Staggs took first in the discus (121' 4"), while Lincoln Sims added a win in the shot put (44' 11.75"). The Orioles also found success in the relays, with the 4x400 relay team capturing first place (3:53.96). Quincy added several runner-up finishes as well, including Carter Feltner in the 1600 meters and strong showings in the 800 meters and throwing events to round out the scoring. Girls Highlights: The Lady Orioles were powered by standout performances on both the track and in the field. Elizabeth Longardner earned first place in the 400 meters (1:02.27), while Clare Robertson won the 3200 meters (16:21.98). Addison Hasten continued her dominance in the throws, taking first in both the shot put (31' 7") and discus (110' 9"). Brooklyn Parker also stood out on the track, winning both the 100-meter hurdles (16.25) and 300-meter hurdles (49.43). Quincy added several second- and third-place finishes throughout the meet, including strong efforts in the sprints, distance races, and field events, contributing to the team’s overall success. Quincy will look to carry this momentum into its next meet at Union City Friday.
