Quincy Golf Finishes Third at Big 8 Jamboree The Quincy High School boys golf team continued a consistent start to the season, placing third at the third Big 8 Jamboree held at Timber Trace Golf Club and hosted by Stockbridge. In a season where “third” has been the theme, as Coach Dave Bach said "threes are wild" the Orioles secured their third consecutive third-place finish, coming up just six strokes short of second place. Jax Sergent led the way for Quincy with an outstanding performance, earning runner-up honors with a season-low round of 40. Braylon Estlow followed with a 44, finishing in a tie for eighth place. Codin Ayerdi turned in a strong round as well, carding a career-low 48 to place 13th overall. Carson Craven rounded out Quincy’s scoring with a 50, good for a 16th-place finish. Additional contributions came from Kalin Scheidler, who shot a career-low 52 in his varsity debut to tie for 18th, and Daniel Burritt, who posted a 56 for a 26th-place finish-his lowest conference score of the season. Quincy will look to build on its steady performances when the team returns to action Saturday at the St. Phil Invitational at Binder Park Golf Club.
