Quincy track and field delivered a big performance Tuesday night, sweeping both Bronson and Maple Valley in a Big 8 Conference Tri meet. The Quincy boys defeated Bronson 85–50 and cruised past Maple Valley 110–22, winning 12 of 17 events. The girls team matched that success with victories of 89–25 over Bronson and 90–38 over Maple Valley, capturing 13 of 17 events. Boys Highlights: Quincy was led by several standout individual efforts across the meet. Carter Feltner, Hunter Walker & Chayse Jensen took the top 3 spots in the 1600m, Micah Groves finished first in the 400m and Chayse Jensen contributed key points in distance events including finishing first in the 800m & 1600m. In the sprints, Noah Kelley and Noah Rufenacht provided solid finishes for the Orioles. Clayton Bensen also added a first place finish in the 110m hurdles. The relay teams were a major strength, with Quincy’s 4x100 and 4x400 squads earning victories and the 4x800 relay also securing a first-place finish. In the field events, Noah Rufenacht, Tyler Miner helped secure a victory for Quincy winning their respective events. Girls Highlights: The Lady Orioles were equally impressive, led by multiple first-place finishes on the track. Brookelyn Parker won the 100 & 300m Hurdles. Elizabeth Longardner won the 400 meters. Alexis Reif won the 3200 meters while placing second in the 1600 meters. In the field events, Addison Hasten was a standout, winning both the shot put and discus. Quincy also saw strong contributions from Piper Craig and Annabel Hemker in the hurdles and jumps. Ashlyn Fickle also took first in girls High Jump. The relay teams continued the momentum, with Quincy’s 4x400 and 4x800 relays finishing first to help seal the team victories. Overall, Quincy claimed 25 of the 34 events contested, showcasing depth, balance, and early-season strength across all areas.
