The Quincy boys and girls track teams turned in a strong overall performance Saturday at the Branch County Invitational, with both squads earning a 4th place team finish. Leading the way for the Orioles were several standout individual performances, highlighted by multiple event winners. Brookelyn Parker had an outstanding day on the girls side, capturing first place in both the 200-meter dash and 300-meter hurdles. Elizabeth Longardner added another championship performance with a first place finish in the 400-meter dash, while Addison Hasten took top honors in the discus. On the boys side, Noah Rufenacht was dominant in the field events, winning both the long jump and high jump. Clayton Benson also delivered a strong performance, earning first place in the 110-meter hurdles and adding a second place finish in the 300-meter hurdles. Quincy also saw several other strong efforts throughout the meet. Alexis Reif placed second in the 3200-meter run, and Ashlyn Fickle earned a runner-up finish in the high jump. Additional contributors for Quincy included solid performances across both track and field events, helping the Orioles secure their top-four team finishes against a competitive field. The Orioles will return to action Wednesday at home as they host Bronson and Maple Valley.
