Quincy Golf Opens 2026 Season with Tri-Match Victory

The Quincy golf team kicked off the 2026 season with a tri-match against the Potterville Vikings and Climax-Scotts Panthers at Coldwater Golf Course, coming away with a team win. Quincy posted a team score of 179, followed by Climax-Scotts at 212 and Potterville at 224. The young Orioles roster featured four golfers making their varsity debuts, all of whom performed impressively in their first outing. All six varsity players finished in the top 10 for the match. Senior Braylon Estlow led the way as co-medalist with a 42, sharing the top spot with freshman Carson Craven, who made an immediate impact in his first varsity action. Seniors Codin Ayerdi (3rd, 47) and Bo Tissue (4th, 48) rounded out the varsity scoring. Jax Sergent tied for fifth with a 50, and Daniel Burritt placed ninth with a 51. On the junior varsity side, Kalin Scheidler was the low scorer with a 56, good for 11th overall, while Gavin Bearden, Colton Walters, and Tucker Nichols completed the JV lineup. The Orioles will return to action next week at the first Big 8 Jamboree, hosted by Concord High School at Concord Hills
