Orioles Baseball Looking for Big Season Following District Final Defeat in 25'

After a 15-13 regular season, the Quincy Oriole Baseball team defeated Homer and Union City in District play before falling to Centreville in the MHSAA District 80 Tournament 5-1. 5 returning players will be back from the previous season including a group newcomers that will be looking to make a mark in their first season of Varsity Baseball. 9 underclassman will join the Oriole Varisty roster will also look to make an immediate impact as the season begins. The Orioles expect pitching depth to be a strength this year. With consistent defense and timely hitting, Quincy hopes to be competitive throughout the season as they once again navigate the always challenging Big 8 Conference. Quincy will also face a demanding non-conference schedule, including games against Onsted, Homer, Jackson Lumen Christi, Coldwater, and Plainwell. The Orioles will travel to Jackson to participate in the Al Glick Invite on 5/16 and will host the annual Oriole Classic in a 4 team invite with Marcellus, Constantine and Dundee. The schedule should provide strong competition and preparation as the team looks ahead to postseason play.
